Hey brother i was reading some articals on the events in 1888. if the people were ready at that time, Jesus would have come back then. but the people were not ready. in further reading they did not understand the righteousness of Christ. Nor is it completely understood by most of the adventist people. if it was then the latter rain would be falling now. i wanted to share with you some of the things i read on about the righteousness of Christ. "I also say that many do not realize what they must be in order to live in the sight of the Lord with out a high priest in the sanctuary, through the time of trouble" "I saw that none could share the refreshing unless they obtain the victory over EVERY besetment, over pride, selfishnesss, love of the world, and over every wrong word and action"

"Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God while our characters have one spot or stain upon them" Testimonies, vol 5,; 214 the sealing of God is a settling into the truth intelliectually and spiritually so that we cannot be moved (SDA bible commentary vol 4, 1161) this is pretty hard to take but ...... our characters are receiving the heavenly mold by our searching for Jesus with all our hearts. we find Him by faith in the sanctuary. anything less than searching with all our hearts means that we'll be lost. "The very image of God is to be reproduced in humanity. The honor of God, the honor of Christ, is nivolved in the perfection of the character of His people." The Desire of Ages. 671 and beleave it or not but God calls upon us to reach the standard of perfection, and places before
us the example of Christ's character. (which is His grace, the character, that He bestows upon us) In His humanity, perfected by a life of constant resistance of evil, the Saviour showed that through co-operation with Divinity, human beings may in this life attain to perfection of charater" Acts of the Apostles. 531 you know the bigest thing is that is wrong in our thinking is that we think that complete salvation comes from beleaving in what Jesus did on the cross only. but we denigh the cross when we thing that we can not reach a perfect Christ like charater in our life time. is was this righteousness that Jesus came to this world in our fallen human natrue to make known by demonstrating that fallen man can have victory over every sin. jusification by faith in its true meaning, victory
over every sin through Jesus, the Lamb slain for us. it was to show that perfect obedience to al the comments of God, by the faith of Jesus, is possible. and to say that we can not obtain perfection, by relighing on Jesus to do it, to live with in us, is to denigh what He had done on the cross for us. "by His perfect obedience He has made it possible for every human being to obey God's commandments. When we submit oursleves to Christ, the heart is united with His heart, the will is merged in His will, the mind becomes one with His mind, the thoughts are brought into capitvitty to Him; we live His life. This is waht is means to be clothed witht the garment of His righteousness" Christ's Object Lessons, 312

so through Christ, by the cross we can over come every sin. we just need to take those sins and lay them at the cross and leave them there. cuz there is were exchange sins for righteousness, for Jesus grace, His life for our life, and our life for His, were we become like Him, and not of ourselfs. amen?
